The role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Service team in Hamilton to support our Workshop for the North Island PDI Centre. Through effective planning, coordination and scheduling, you’ll perform an integral part in ensuring that we meet delivery expectations of all new Lift Trucks.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will join our knowledgeable and experienced service team and be supported by great training and shared expertise across the business. The core responsibility of your role will be to collaborate with the Workshop Manager and all key stakeholders to ensure that work is efficiently scheduled and the production plan monitored and maintained to meet our customer needs. You’ll monitor the workshop service core production on a daily basis to ensure we are meeting assigned delivery targets and budgets and through data collection, analysis and tracking you’ll support and drive all planning activities in line with workshop resources and agreed timelines and customer delivery schedules. Parts inventory management is a key task for this role, as your efficiency in this area is critical to ensuring that productivity is maintained and any gaps are foreseen.
Working alongside the Workshop technicians, you’ll ensure that suitable resources are planned and in stock at the right times, to meet the schedule for the month and rolling quarter. With great service to our customers being one of the three pillars of our business, you will support the team as they place customer needs at the forefront of everything they do.
This is a fulltime, permanent role, based at our PDI Centre in Te Rapa, Hamilton.
Requirements
About you
To shine in this role, you’ll bring your positive, customer-centric and solutions-focused attitude and strong attention-to-detail and communication skills. Whilst experience in the automotive or manufacturing sectors would be advantageous, it’s not absolutely essential, as we’re looking for someone who is an agile learner. You’ll be a collaborative and supportive team player and have great customer service/relationship skills when it comes to dealing with your internal and external stakeholders.
A current Class 1 drivers’ license is required. A forklift experience/license is preferred, however not essential as we can provide training.
