The role
We are looking for a new Wedding List Advisor (Gift Guru) to join our lovely team for 12 months to cover maternity leave at our beautiful 4 storey Townhouse showroom in Chelsea. The successful candidate will offer customers a personal service both during appointments and on a walk-in basis to thoroughly explain the wedding list service we offer and convert them into registrations. Using their expert product knowledge, they will guide couples through the process of building a gift list personal to them, offering advice on everything from thread count to guest to gift ratio. They must be articulate with the confidence to offer a luxury one on one service building up relationships with clients.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with customers during appointments and walk ins to advise on our service (alongside, offering the same personal service over phone, Zoom and e-mail)
  • Managing own client base and proactively following up new registrations and converting new business
  • Developing expert product knowledge through training to guide and advise clients across our 450+ brand offering, helping them curate the perfect wedding list. This includes immersive brand training, such as a masterclass cookshop day with Le Creuset.
  • Maintaining showroom standards and re-merchandising in line with current and in-store trends, collaborating with the buying team to select samples from our 450+ brand offering.
  • Post meeting clients, registering them on our system and compiling their chosen gifts onto their wedding list
  • Staying in touch with clients throughout their wedding to be on hand with advice and guidance at all stages
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create fun and vibrant events at the Townhouse throughout the year, working with brand partners and other industry-related brands to enhance the couple experience, as well as helping to create showroom-led content with the Gift Gurus to promote appointments and the Townhouse experience

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • A client facing background is highly desirable
  • A passion for homewares or interiors would be advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication over the phone, email and in person
  • Self-motivation is key
