The Role: Virtual App Beta Tester
As a Virtual App Beta Tester, you will join a distributed team of professionals who handle user experience testing tasks for our growing client base. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Follow structured test scenarios and document results clearly in the provided reporting tool.
- Attempt to replicate reported bugs from other testers to confirm reproducibility.
- Identify bugs, glitches, UI inconsistencies, and unexpected behaviors and report them with screenshots.
- Provide comparison feedback between the current and previous app versions when applicable.
- Rate app features on usability, design clarity, and overall satisfaction.
- Provide detailed written feedback on the overall user experience, flow, and intuitiveness.
- Maintain confidentiality of pre-release app builds and features as required by NDAs.
- Complete assigned test cycles within stated deadlines for each project.
Requirements
- Comfortable with basic tech tasks: installing apps, taking screenshots, filling out forms.
- Must be 18 years or older and a resident of the United States.
- Ownership of a modern smartphone (iOS or Android) capable of installing apps from app stores.
- Ability to follow test instructions precisely and complete tasks within provided deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail — ability to notice subtle UI issues, slow load times, or broken flows.
- Clear written communication skills to document bug reports and feedback accurately.
