Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Technical Office Engineer (Electrical) to support the successful execution of construction and engineering projects. You will act as a key liaison between the design team, project management, site engineers, and contractors. This role involves a mix of technical, administrative, and coordination tasks, with a strong focus on documentation, quantity management, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation
- Prepare, review, and manage shop drawings, as-built drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), BOQs, and other technical documents
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure accuracy and timely updates to all documentation
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues
- Assist in planning procurement and material submittal schedules
Cost & Quantity Management
- Prepare quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation
- Monitor material usage to ensure alignment with project budgets
Submittals and Approvals
- Prepare and submit RFIs, material submittals, and technical queries
- Track consultant/client approvals and follow up on pending submissions
Quality and Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, specifications, and regulations
- Support quality assurance by reviewing deliverables and verifying technical documentation
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain organized logs for drawings, materials, submittals, and project correspondence
- Generate progress reports and technical updates for internal teams and clients
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in a similar technical office or site-based engineering role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction drawings, and documentation standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
