Software Engineer (PHP/Hybrid/Athens)

Help build the engine behind an international platform that scans millions of webpages daily! You'll work at scale, optimizing high-performance crawlers, and automating large-scale data parsing with modern infrastructure.

Your code will directly power pricing decisions for some of the biggest Retail and E-commerce brands in 30 countries, including the ones you already know and use!

📚Your Mission - Build Data Systems That Power the World’s Top Brands

• Build and maintain smart web crawlers using modern PHP
• Use tools like Puppeteer to interact with dynamic websites
• Write and fine-tune parsers that extract real-time pricing, stock, and product data
• Tackle anti-bot systems (rotating proxies, CAPTCHAs, etc.)
• Keep crawlers healthy and accurate—fix what breaks before anyone notices
• Work closely with DevOps & Customer Success to deliver stable, high-scale data pipelines
• Collaborate, review code, and mentor junior teammates

🔓 Skills, and experience to unlock the role:

• Proven professional experience in PHP backend dev (bonus if it’s in scraping/data work)
• Strong OOP PHP (v7 or v8) skills
• Experience with headless browsers (Puppeteer, Playwright)
• Solid grasp of SQL, Linux, Git workflows
• A collaborative mindset & clear communicator

• Experience with frameworks like Scrapy, Selenium, or custom scrapers
• Scaling knowledge: rotating proxies, IP management, and anti-bot defenses
• Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Basic scripting for diagnostics and monitoring
