Join our team as Software Development Lead & Site Manager

Sentec is a Swiss-American medical device company specializing in respiratory care. Since its founding in 1999 the company utilizes a deep-tech approach that is founded on advanced science and avant-garde technologies for respiratory patients across care areas.

The goal is to support enduring change in clinical practice that reduces challenges of respiratory patients, improves healthcare outcomes, and alleviates cost.

Sentec applies latest scientific results and engineering technologies across the three core platforms transcutaneous monitoring, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation and electrical impedance tomography. The company researches, develops and manufactures all products exclusively in-house.

Sentec earned Kununu’s Top Company award in 2025 and 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local team, which is part of a global matrix organization.
  • Close collaboration with functional leaders worldwide.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development for all local employees in coordination with functional leaders.

Operational Management

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the Budapest office, including facilities and office management.
  • Manage local HR processes (contracts, payroll, compliance, employee relations) in collaboration with global HR and external providers.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for the entity.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and represent the entity for local authorities, auditors, service providers and within the Sentec organization.

Technical Oversight

  • Support and guide software development activities, ensuring alignment with global standards and project objectives.
  • Influence companywide software processes, tools, infrastructure and methods and implement them locally.
  • Facilitate cross-functional and regional collaboration between the local team and teams based outside Hungary.
  • Jointly plan, track, and coordinate software development activities with functional software and project management leads for Sentec development projects to ensure completion of software and V&V deliverables to timelines.
  • Ensure quality, security, IT and regulatory compliance in all deliverables.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage the local budget, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in people management, ideally within a software development or technology environment.
  • Experience and a strong understanding of software development processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in Hungarian and English; German is an advantage.
