We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee daily operations at our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the contracting and construction industry, with proven experience in managing engineers, site activities, and administrative teams.
Requirements
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Lead and manage site engineers, ensuring smooth workflow and problem resolution.
- Oversee administrative staff, including accounting, procurement, and site support personnel.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare reports on project status, financials, and workforce performance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Optimize resource allocation, ensuring cost efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance team skills.
- Oversee subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project specifications.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct site inspections to maintain high construction standards.
- Handle site-related administrative tasks, including payroll approvals and workforce scheduling.
- Resolve any on-site conflicts or operational challenges that may arise.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in site management within the contracting or construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience handling engineers, administrative staff, and site workers.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in project management tools, scheduling software, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.
- Financial acumen to oversee budgeting, cost control, and procurement processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
