Responsibilities

  • Lead welding engineering activities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Develop and implement welding procedures and guidelines to meet industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of welding work to ensure quality assurance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Provide technical support and advice on complex welding issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and welding technicians in best practices and techniques.
  • Stay updated on the latest welding technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in welding engineering within the Oil & Energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and codes such as AWS, ASME, or API.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Proficiency in welding simulation software and engineering design tools.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required for project assignments.
