Overview of the Role 
The Senior Mortgage Broking Assistant is responsible for managing loan applications from initial document preparation through to post-settlement functions. This includes liaising with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and efficient loan process. 


Main duties include:  

  • Broker management and support
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Gather information from clients, retrieve documentation and process applications from the initial document preparation through to post credit functions
  • Submit loans and processing approvals through to settlement
  • Analysing Lender, Credit and Application submission requirements
  • Packaging and submitting fully completed loan applications to lenders.
  • Tracking the progress of loan applications through to settlement
  • Communicating with all parties to the transaction, i.e. clients, banks, settlement agents/solicitors, debt collectors, real estate agents.
  • Keeping the client and business partners updated throughout the loan process
  • Post Settlement Customer Care
  • Maintaining database system i.e. updating client information
  • General administrative duties

Requirements

  • Graduate of Business Administration - Major in Accountancy, Management, Financing and other related courses
  • Proficient use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with accounting, finance or banking
  • Previous experience on Platform Plus (nice to have)
  • Understand diverse banking sectors, asset finance, cash flow lending, debtor finance and property is an advantage
  • Understanding of business lending
  • Knowledge in using Mortgage broking CRM preferably  , MyCRM,
  • Experience in ApplyOnline
  • Knowledge in Australian lender portals - Macquirie
  • Understanding of the end to end lending process (application - credit - settlement)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and show initiative to drive results
  • Flexibility; ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and prioritize projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
