Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary depending on role focus and organisational requirements, and may include:
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance insights
- Oversight of general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close
- Supporting commercial and strategic decision-making
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
- Liaising with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
- Improving financial systems, reporting accuracy, and processes
- Coaching, mentoring, or managing junior finance staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred
- 5–10+ years’ experience in progressively responsible finance roles
- Strong understanding of IFRS and South African financial regulations
- Experience with management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Sage, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
- Leadership potential and readiness for senior responsibility
