Overview of the Role
A Senior Data Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the current data flow and data warehouse.
Main duties include:
- Maintain and develop integrations with XERO API.
- Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Design and develop enterprise data models and data warehouses for clients.
- Maintain and develop reports in Power BI and Board Pack PDF.
- Lead data analytics projects, focusing on visualization and predictive modeling.
- Understand business data needs and guide appropriate technological resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and design effective solutions.
- Aggregate and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other tools for business users.
- Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
- A graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar or related role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ideally Power BI and Power Query.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and associated tools.
- Working knowledge of Data Lake, Spark, and Python is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to create clear and concise process documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Has an internet connection of at least 15 Mbps
- Residence within Cebu
