We are seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer to lead system design, PLC/HMI programming, SCADA/MES development, controls hardware design, and commissioning for large-scale industrial automation projects across food & beverage, life sciences, consumer products and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
* Lead automation and controls engineering for major EPC and design-build projects
* Oversee PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, server/virtualization design and implementation
* Lead designers, specialists and junior engineers throughout all project phases
* Develop I/O lists, controls narratives, panel designs, FAT documentation and installation plans
* Select and specify instrumentation, control panels, and automation equipment
* Collaborate with electrical, process, procurement and construction teams
* Perform on-site commissioning, testing and startup (approx. 25–30% travel)
* Lead client-facing technical presentations and design reviews
* Support proposals, project estimates, and business development activities
* Ensure compliance with NFPA, ISA, IEC, UL508A, ISO13849 and other control standards
