This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as supporting the overall financial management of the organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining financial statements, preparing budgets, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. You will collaborate closely with various departments to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
- Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with local financial and tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to assess the accuracy of financial information and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with other departments on financial procedures and reporting.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong skills in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and ERP systems are required. Familiarity with Entersoft EBS will be seen as an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
