T-SEZ, our accounting and business consulting firm based in Peristeri, Attica, is looking for a Senior Accountant for full-time employment, to manage and oversee the accounting cycle of a portfolio of businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining single-entry and double-entry accounting records for a portfolio of clients
- Recording accounting documents and performing reconciliations (banks, cash, customers, and suppliers)
- Preparing and submitting tax filings, including VAT, withholding taxes, VIES, Intrastat, municipal taxes, and income tax
- Monitoring and transmitting invoices through myDATA, resolving any discrepancies
- Preparing financial statements and internal management reports
- Managing statutory obligations related to GEMI and the Bank of Greece
- Communicating with clients to collect documentation, provide updates, and offer accounting and tax support
- Participating in advisory projects and strategic tax planning
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the accounting team
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation and keeping the team informed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a University or Technological Institute in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Proven experience in a similar role within an accounting department or accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax procedures
- Experience with ERP systems and the myDATA platform
- Good command of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills, consistency, and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
