As we expand in Malaysia, we are building a high-impact sales teams from the ground up to drive merchant acquisition and scale the adoption of digital payment solutions.

Job Summary

As a hands-on Sales Manager, you will build, lead, and scale a field sales team, building sales talent, coaching, performance management, and execution. Leading from the front, you will establish strong sales discipline and create a sustainable, high-performing team that consistently delivers growth through new merchant acquisition in Malaysia market.

Through EPOS’ payment solutions and Mini Programme, your leadership will enable businesses across F&B, Retail, and other industries to operate more efficiently and grow digitally. This role offers real ownership—the opportunity to build a team, drive results, and create lasting impact for SME owners through EPOS’ technology.

 

This role delivers impact through the following key responsibilities:

 Leadership

  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring team members.
  • Track team performance against targets through sale data and providing feedback to the team.
  • Lead and coach the sales team in executing on-ground sales activities, including cold calling, outbound prospecting, and managing inbound leads to drive new merchant acquisition.

 

Performance management:

  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor pipelines, and ensure disciplined sales execution.
  • Build a high-performing field sales team.  
  • Drive, motivate team to ensure team meet daily and monthly targets.

 

Acquiring Merchants

  • Analyze market opportunities and competitive insights, leveraging data to refine sales approaches and strengthen EPOS’ market position.
  • Oversee sales presentations and product demonstrations, ensuring Account Managers effectively communicate EPOS’ value proposition to prospective merchants

 

Cross-function collaboration:

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, operations, customer service, and HR.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in sales, digital solutions, or service-based in SME industries.
  • Strong understanding of, and connections within SME, F&B, and/or Retail sectors.
  • Proactive and effective communicator with strong influencing skills.
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to achieving targets.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow professionally
  • Able to uphold company values, culture, and compliance while driving business results
