Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Vascular Telemetry for a top healthcare client in Roanoke, VA.
This opportunity offers the chance to join a high-acuity telemetry unit specializing in the care of patients with neurological and vascular conditions, including stroke recovery, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), post-neurosurgical cases, and complex medical comorbidities requiring cardiac monitoring. The RN will play a critical role in observing subtle neurological and cardiac changes, ensuring timely interventions, and supporting multidisciplinary treatment plans that drive optimal recovery outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care to individuals with neurological and cardiovascular needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor neurological and cardiac status using telemetry systems.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders while documenting all care in EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate closely with neurology, cardiology, and rehabilitation teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, recovery expectations, and discharge planning.
- Adhere to hospital safety standards, infection control policies, and core quality measures.
- Participate in unit initiatives focused on stroke certification, quality improvement, and professional development.
Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or approved program eligible for Virginia RN licensure.
Experience
- New graduates and experienced nurses are encouraged to apply.
Certifications/Licenses
- Virginia RN license (or eligibility).
- CPR certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable within one year of hire.
Skills or Competencies
- Strong neuro and cardiac monitoring skills.
