We are seeking a dedicated RN to join our Hospice Inpatient Unit team on a per diem basis during day shifts and work every other weekends. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a comfortable and supportive environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each patient’s symptoms are managed effectively while honoring their wishes and dignity.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in an inpatient setting.
- Assess patient needs and determine scope and frequency of required services.
- Implement plans of care based on individual patient and family needs, focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
- Administer medications and manage symptoms effectively.
- Coordinate care with other members of the hospice care team to provide comprehensive support.
- Document patient care accurately and timely on all relevant records.
- Maintain a professional and respectful environment, honoring patient confidentiality and rights.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN license in good standing to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or a medical/surgical setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospice philosophy and principles of end-of-life care.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient care needs and provide emotional support to families.
- CPR certification required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
- Proof of Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
