Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with homeowners, and delivering a high-quality service experience from start to finish.
The right candidate brings strong technical ability paired with clear communication, professionalism, and a genuine desire to build trust with customers in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Perform service, repairs, and maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
- Diagnose heating and cooling issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Service, diagnose, and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality systems.
- Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
- Educate homeowners on system performance, efficiency improvements, and preventive maintenance in a clear and respectful manner.
- Build strong rapport with customers through professionalism, communication, and respect for their home and time.
- Complete required documentation, invoices, and service records accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, company vehicle, and tools.
- Represent Ted’s with integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of residential HVAC experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate and ask questions when needed.
- EPA certification required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
- Ability to safely perform the physical aspects of the role, with training, tools, and team support provided as needed.
