The Role: Remote Chat Operator

The Remote Chat Operator position is a key remote role designed for detail-oriented, communicative individuals who are ready to contribute from day one. In this capacity, you will be a direct representative of our clients, handling live chat responsibilities from the comfort of your own home. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed daily resolution and response-time targets set by the client.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via live chat software in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain a strong customer satisfaction score by delivering accurate, empathetic responses.
  • Log all customer interactions accurately in the client's CRM system.
  • Keep personal product and service knowledge up to date through regular training sessions.
  • Complete end-of-shift reports documenting key metrics and unresolved issues.
  • Identify and flag recurring issues to the team lead for process improvement.
  • Escalate complex cases to senior support agents when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Available to commit to a minimum of 15–20 hours per week during scheduled shifts.
  • Access to a reliable computer (PC or Mac) and a stable, high-speed internet connection.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM accurately under moderate time pressure.
  • No prior experience required — comprehensive paid training provided upon hire.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple browser tabs and software applications simultaneously.
