Key Responsibilities
- Lead 2–3 active projects simultaneously (100–300MW scale each).
- Manage internal teams (Assistant Manager, Engineers, and Land team) to deliver project milestones.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, trackers, and risk registers.
- Coordinate with execution, BD, and finance teams during pre-FC phase.
- Oversee land and grid technical assessments.
- Review drawings, layouts, and single-line diagrams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with authorities (TNB, ST, MIDA, local councils, etc.) for approvals.
- Manage consultants and subcontractors for feasibility and study deliverables.
- Act as key interface with project partners (e.g., M Company, JV entities, government-linked bodies).
- Attend site visits and technical meetings with TNB and other external stakeholders.
- Prepare management and partner progress reports, presentations, and updates.
- Support the Director in project steering committee meetings.
- Provide input for project investment papers and business cases.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure knowledge transfer across team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure project management.
- Familiar with Malaysian RE regulatory frameworks (TNB, ST, CGPP, LSS, FiT).
- Strong project scheduling and coordination skills (MS Project, Excel, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Bahasa and Mandarin an advantage).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent coordination and multi-stakeholder communication.
- Self-motivated with sense of accountability.
- Proven ability to work under tight timelines with multiple parties.
- Team-oriented with a growth mindset.
Travel Requirement
- Occasional travel to project sites in Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, or Brunei.
