Project Planning and Management:

  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to align project goals and specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to meet project deadlines.

Technical Production Support:

  • Prepare detailed technical production shop drawings based on 3D designs provided by the design team, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
  • Create and finalize CNC cutting files for production purposes.
  • Provide input on cost estimates and resource allocation for event-related engineering requirements.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the design team to translate creative concepts into production-ready technical drawings.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure project feasibility and timely delivery of materials.
  • Review and troubleshoot technical issues during the project lifecycle to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to improve the drawing in accordance with the Scope of Work (SOW).

Bill of Materials and Quantity Take-offs:

  • Perform quantity take-offs to determine the materials needed for construction.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of materials.

Quality and Compliance

  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all deliverables, minimizing errors and delays.
  • Stay updated on material specifications, manufacturing processes, and industry standards to optimize project outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, including design revisions, BOM updates, and quantity calculations.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, drawings, and BOMs to project managers and stakeholders.

Design Verification

  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings and materials lists.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce high-quality design outputs efficiently.
  • Stay current with advancements in design software and incorporate new techniques as appropriate.

Requirements

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • PMP (Project Management Certifications) is Must.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years in project engineering, drafting, or related roles, preferably in the events and exhibitions industry.

Other:

  • Proficiency in preparing detailed technical production shop drawings related to events and exhibitions.
  • Strong experience with drafting and creating accurate BOMs.
  • Expertise in generating CNC cutting files.
  • Solid understanding of materials such as wood, aluminum, lighting, and staging systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
