As the Project Director for an assigned Project (i.e. a nomenclature for trade fairs), you will have the opportunity to lead and grow a successful project, driving revenue, profitability and market share. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic business plans to achieve revenue, profitability and growth targets.
- Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to identify opportunities and develop innovative strategies.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team to achieve business objectives, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Drive business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, building relationships with key clients, and negotiating contracts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
- Co-create the brand and marketing strategy, oversee the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies for the project to achieve target attendance and participation.
- Monitor and analyze business performance, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to make informed business decisions.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource management for the project.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience including project management and P&L management, in the trade fairs or events industry.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing large-scale trade fairs.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
