Purpose: Responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring quality control, and managing resources to meet production targets. Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and drive cost-saving measures. Responsible for leading structured problem-solving initiatives, providing training and support to operators, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production performance, track OEE metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize shop floor layout, material flow, and equipment relocation to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality through process improvements and automation solutions.
  • Lead 8D projects, drive structured problem-solving initiatives, and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Track and manage consumable tools and non-capitalized equipment inventory levels, optimize inventory levels, and prevent stockouts.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Ensure safety compliance, conduct regular safety audits, and address operator concerns.
  • Provide technical support to operators, resolve issues, and develop clear procedures.
  • Design and implement automated workflows, minimize human intervention, and ensure seamless machine operations.
  • Identify training needs, develop targeted training programs, and document training processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex production issues, drive process improvements, and share knowledge.
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet production targets, monitor performance, and identify bottlenecks.
  • Lead improvement projects, implement cost-reduction initiatives, and track savings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of process changes, tooling updates, quality improvements, and operator feedback.

Requirements

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Precision or Industrial Engineering).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, automation, and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, robotics, polishing, welding)
  • Knowledge of automation solutions and digital tools
  • Knowledge of OEE metrics and data analysis
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Experience with 8D problem-solving methodology and CAPA implementation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and participate in improvement projects
  • Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies and processes
