Papoutsanis S.A. is a leading Greek manufacturing company with 150 years of history, experience and know-how in personal care products.

The company operates one of the largest and most advanced vertically integrated production plants in Europe, delivering daily innovations and high-quality products, using raw materials that raise the bar for quality in both the Greek and international markets.

We are looking for a Production Engineer whose main responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating day-to-day production activities, ensuring that production plans and work orders are executed safely, on time and according to specifications.
  • Monitoring production performance indicators (output, scrap, efficiency, downtime), analysing deviations and implementing corrective and improvement actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards (ISO, GMP, HACCP) and internal procedures (SOPs), and cooperating with Quality Control for deviation management and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  • Promoting a strong Health & Safety (HSE) culture: proper use of PPE, high housekeeping standards, participation in risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance team to promptly address equipment issues, reduce downtime and improve machine reliability, as well as participating in the commissioning/validation of new equipment.
  • Using and supporting ERP/MES systems and other digital tools to monitor production, analyse data and prepare technical and performance reports.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, etc.) and to the training, coaching and support of operators on best operating practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a production/industrial environment; experience in FMCG, food, cosmetics or chemicals will be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in supervising production processes and coordinating teams/shifts.
  • Good understanding of industrial production processes, quality & safety systems (ISO / GMP / HACCP) and basic data analysis tools.
  • Very good command of MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with ERP / MES systems.
  • Very good command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
  • Hands-on mindset, analytical thinking, ability to prioritise, effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong sense of responsibility and solid safety culture.
