About the Role
Intertek is looking for a structured and proactive Planner to support our CUI inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities on-site. The role is responsible for turning client scope and work orders into safe, efficient and executable plans, and for acting as the key coordination point between the inspection/NDT teams and the client.
Work is to be carried out in accordance with company procedures, contractual requirements and instructions from the immediate supervisor / project manager.
Location: Sites for the oil and gas industry within Norway

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as operational planner for all inspection and NDT activities on the assigned site or project.
- Serve as the planning liaison between Inspection/NDT teams, Client representatives and Subcontractors and other project disciplines
- Translate inspection scopes, specifications and drawings into detailed work packages, including manpower and equipment need
- Access, permits and isolation requirements
- Time estimates and work sequences
- Build and maintain the integrated plan in relevant systems (e.g. SAP, SharePoint, other)
- Follow up daily and weekly progress, updating plans and look-ahead schedules.
- Ensure all completed work is properly documented and reported in line with client and company requirements.
- Identify deviations, delays, access issues or safety concerns at an early stage and raise them immediately with the Project Manager and Client representative, including proposed mitigating actions.
- Coordinate with HSE, operations, maintenance and other stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Technical education in mechanical, inspection, NDT, engineering or similar (trade certificate, technical college or higher).
- Experience from inspection, NDT or maintenance in oil & gas, energy, process or similar industry.
- Experience from onshore and/or offshore facilities is highly desirable.
- Experience with in-service inspection (operational/ongoing plant inspection) is an advantage.
- Understanding of NDT methods (e.g. UT, RT, PT, MT, VT).
- NDT Level II and Radiation Protection certification are required.
- Experience with planning and work preparation on industrial sites is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with planning tools and systems, such as SAP or similar.
- Good English skills, written and spoken.
