This position focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with neurological disorders in an ambulatory setting. The role offers a predictable schedule with no inpatient responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including but not limited to headaches, epilepsy, stroke follow-up, movement disorders, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and cognitive disorders
- Conduct comprehensive neurological examinations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs, MRIs, and CT scans (as applicable)
- Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic health record
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
- Active or eligible state medical license
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
