Mine Surveyor

Catalyst Metals Limited (ASX: CYL) owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia, alongside the Henty Gold Mine in Australia, producing approximately 110koz of gold annually. With four new mining areas planned to come online at Plutonic over the next 12–18 months, Group production is forecast to grow to 200koz per year.

An opportunity is available for a motivated Underground Surveyor to join the Survey Team at the Plutonic Operations on a permanent full-time, fly-in fly-out (FIFO) basis from Perth. Working an 8:6 family-friendly roster, the role provides daily survey support to underground mining operations while offering the right environment and supervision to obtain a WA Grade 1 Mine Survey Authorisation Certificate.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, the role is responsible for maintaining survey standards and controls, supporting production and development activities, and ensuring accurate processing, recording and reporting of survey results across underground and surface operations.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

• Formal qualification in Surveying (Degree or Diploma)
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in metalliferous underground mining operations
• Strong knowledge of survey processing, recording and reporting
• Experience with MS Office and mining software (Deswik experience preferred)
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Experience operating DJI UAVs and holding a RePL (highly regarded)
• Proactive, self-motivated approach to work
• Current manual driver’s licence
