Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging science lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for grades 6-8.
- Utilize hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning to enhance student understanding.
- Assess student performance and provide tailored feedback to support their growth.
- Encourage scientific curiosity and foster a positive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and participate in school activities.
- Stay current with science education best practices and incorporate them into your teaching.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE) preferred.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in middle school science.
- Knowledge of contemporary teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.
- Experience with international curricula (e.g., IB, IGCSE) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues.
