Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This core role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team to provide comprehensive and compassionate treatment. The RN utilizes established nursing models to assess and manage patient conditions, acts as a vital advocate for patients and families, and works to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess the patient's condition upon admission and throughout each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications safely, monitor the patient for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Provide exceptional care by proactively anticipating patient needs, responding promptly to requests, and facilitating the resolution of patient concerns.
- Act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, consistently embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Ensure all care provided is in line with departmental requirements and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by degree).
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) experience is REQUIRED.
Certifications/Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the relevant state is required (implied by the job title 'Registered Nurse').
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
