Eram Talent is actively seeking a Mechanical Inspector specializing in Turnaround and Inspection (T&I) projects for opportunities in Saudi Arabia. As a vital member of our recruitment consultancy team in the Oil & Energy sector, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and compliance of mechanical systems during various phases of T&I projects.
This position requires an individual with exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of mechanical inspection protocols. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all mechanical equipment and processes align with industry standards and regulations, contributing to the overall success of our clients' projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical equipment during T&I projects to guarantee compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Perform fit-up inspections and verify cleanliness of weld joints prior to welding operations.
- Monitor welding processes including electrode checks, preheat assessments, and visual examinations of completed welds for defects.
- Schedule and oversee necessary non-destructive testing (NDT) for completed welds, such as RT, PT, MT, HT, and PMI.
- Evaluate post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) setup and results, ensuring all processes meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate quality control documentation, including weld maps and tracking sheets.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and communicate progress and concerns to inspection coordinators.
- Identify quality and safety issues and collaborate with team members to address them.
- Assist in gathering support for inspection activities from the company’s representatives, such as scaffold erection and insulation removal.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector in Oil & Energy T&I projects.
- Proven experience in shutdown maintenance projects.
- Valid certifications: API 510, API 570.
- This is for a 45 day Shutdown in Saudi Arabia
- Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards such as API, ASME, and ISO.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting inspections and tests on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and document non-conformances.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia for project duration.
