Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Manager of Emergency Services (ER RN) for a top healthcare client in Independence, MO.

The ER Clinical Manager provides leadership and oversight for the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care while managing daily operations, staffing, and compliance. This role is key to maintaining excellence in patient safety, team engagement, and operational performance, serving as both a clinical expert and departmental leader.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all clinical, operational, and administrative functions of the Emergency Department.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, charge nurses, and support personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices for emergency care.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets, staffing models, and financial performance.
  • Facilitate collaboration with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to enhance quality of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Manage staff hiring, orientation, evaluations, and professional development.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of departmental performance and implement process improvements.
  • Serve as a professional role model, clinical resource, and liaison between nursing staff and medical leadership.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Emergency Department experience required
  • Prior Charge RN or supervisory experience within the last year strongly preferred

Certifications/Licenses

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 1 year of hire
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire
