- Plan warehouses and distribution centers for efficiency in both operations and capacity.
- Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
- Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
- Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
- Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes.
- Handle all logistics activities of export and import materials, spare parts and gold shipments.
- Search and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply.
- Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality.
- Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time.
- Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and evaluation of suppliers.
- Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration, logistics or any relevant field.
- Strong understanding of Logistics systems and countries regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Works well with deadlines,
- Knowledge of logistics systems,
- Understanding of transportation limitations and regulations
- Previous experience in Manufacturing or Construction is a must.
- Previous experience in import and export companies is a plus.
