Kitchen Steward

As a Kitchen Steward at The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, ensuring an immaculate and organized kitchen environment.

Your commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail will support the preparation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with kitchen staff, helping to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and presentation, ultimately contributing to the memorable experiences we pride ourselves on.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize all kitchen items such as dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment efficiently, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas by regularly sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Organize and store kitchenware and equipment ensuring easy access for chefs and cooking staff.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and utensils.
• Support culinary staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar position preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and communicate clearly.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential traits for this role.
