We are seeking a talented Hybrid Cloud Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our team, playing a pivotal role in our presales
activities. The ideal you will lead assessments, strategize and create roadmaps for datacentre exit/migrations,
transformations including branch offices, edge locations, and hybrid cloud solutions. This role demands expertise in
datacentre architecture, hybrid cloud technologies, migrations and a commitment to sustainability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assessment and Analysis:
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' datacentre infrastructure, including branch offices and edge locations.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in both centralized and distributed environments.
Strategy and Roadmap Development:
• Create comprehensive datacentre transformation strategies and roadmaps, aligning with clients' business objectives.
• Design solutions incorporating the latest technologies, industry best practices, and scalability for diverse
environments.
Reference Architecture and Best Practices:
• Utilize industry best practices and reference architectures to design efficient and scalable solutions for centralized
and distributed architectures.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in datacentre transformation and edge computing.
Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud Implementation:
• Advise on the design and implementation of private cloud environments, considering security, compliance, and
performance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful deployment of hybrid cloud solutions.
Sustainability Integration:
• Integrate sustainability considerations into datacentre transformation plans for both centralized and distributed
environments.
• Advocate for green technologies and energy-efficient practices in datacentres and edge locations.
Client Advisory:
• Provide expert advice to clients on datacentre transformation, private cloud implementation, and technology choices.
• Collaborate with clients to address concerns and provide innovative solutions for hybrid cloud strategies.
Business Case Preparation:
• Develop detailed business cases for datacentre transformation projects, covering both centralized and edge
environments.
• Collaborate with financial analysts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial models.
Presales Activities:
• Engage in presales activities, including presentations, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and contribute to compelling proposals for hybrid cloud
solutions.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12-18 years of proven experience as a Datacentre Transformation Architect or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of datacentre technologies(in any of the following streams), cloud solutions, and emerging trends
with operational and service delivery experience:
o Hybrid Cloud: SDDC, HCI, AWS & Azure Solutions
o Public Cloud Adoption: Assessment, Foundation & Migration
o SDI Platform: VxRail, Nutanix, Hyperflex, vSAN, NSX
o Converged Platform: Synergy, VxBlock, Flexpod Soln's
o Migration Soln – Cloud Natives, Storage based Replication, Zerto, Platespin
o Compute Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Acropolis
o Backup Soln - Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault, Networker, Spectrum
o Hybrid Storage Arrays: Dell-EMC, HPE, Nimble, Pure & IBM
o Storage Virtualization & Fabric: VPLEX, SVC, Cisco & Brocade Switching
o DRaaS Soln - VMWare SRM, IBM CRO & Zerto
o Middleware - IIS, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, etc.
o Remote monitoring and management tools (Tivoli, BMC, HPOV, CA Spectrum, etc.)
o Automation- UiPath, Ansible, Jenkins, Microfocus
o ITSM- ServiceNow, Remedy
• Proven track record of having done customer-facing solution defence.
• Capable of independently think, articulating and comprehend customer pain points in technology and commercial
areas for providing solutions
• Team player and self-motivated individual
• Proficient (read, write, speak) in the English language
• Strong communication skills to listen to the clients and articulate back for solutioning
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with a team member and prospective clients up to the Board level.
Work Model:
you must be willing to travel twice a year for short-term periods
