Texans crownntowing is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator, you will be responsible for operating a 50-ton wrecker to recover and tow large vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. This role requires expertise in heavy-duty towing, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 50-ton heavy-duty wrecker to recover and transport large vehicles and equipment.
- Respond to service calls and assess the situation to determine the best approach for recovery.
- Utilize proper recovery techniques and equipment to safely tow and transport vehicles.
- Perform inspections and routine maintenance on the wrecker to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the recovery process and answer any questions.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of services performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to heavy-duty towing and recovery.
Requirements
- Prior experience operating heavy-duty wreckers, specifically 50-ton capacity, is required.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of heavy-duty towing techniques and recovery operations.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver large wreckers in various conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to manage heavy equipment and perform demanding tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- ASE certifications related to heavy-duty towing and recovery are a plus.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and troubleshooting is beneficial.
