As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess workplace safety conditions.
- Support in training employees on health and safety practices and procedures.
- Help investigate incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and internal standards.
- Provide support in the preparation of health and safety reports for management.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote health and safety awareness.
- Stay updated on health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in health and safety roles.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
