This position requires a leader with strong technical understanding, commercial sharpness, and an entrepreneurial drive to scale the business, unlock new revenue streams, and elevate Powertrack’s market position. You must bring the discipline of a system operator, the mindset of a business owner, and the confidence to build and lead a high-performance organisation.

.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Expansion

    • Lead the strategic roadmap for Powertrack, including market positioning, business model revamp, service diversification, and regional expansion.
    • Drive the division into new segments such as MV/HV substation O&M, interconnection assets maintenance, protection systems, emergency response, and lifecycle asset services.
    • Identify, evaluate, and commercialise new service offerings—spanning preventive maintenance, corrective works, retrofits, spares management, performance recovery, and asset optimisation.
    • Leverage Solarvest group-wide portfolio (LSS, C&I, utility clients) to expand Powertrack’s service footprint and recurring revenue base.

.

2. Operational Excellence & Technical Oversight

    • Oversee the full spectrum of O&M operations to ensure asset reliability, performance ratio optimisation, safety compliance, and contractual SLA achievement.
    • Lead technical teams across solar, MV/HV electrical systems, SCADA, protection relays, and interconnection facilities (IF).
    • Ensure best-in-class preventive and corrective maintenance programs, fast response to outages, and a strong HSE culture.
    • Establish robust governance frameworks, SOPs, and quality management systems.

.

3. Commercial, Financial & P&L Management

    • Own the division's P&L, ensuring sustainable margins, productivity improvement, and cost optimisation across all O&M activities.
    • Develop pricing frameworks, cost models, performance dashboards, and profitability tracking mechanisms.
    • Drive customer retention, contract renewals, and expansion of existing accounts.

.

4. Customer, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, TNB, vendors, OEMs, insurance providers, and service contractors.
    • Act as the escalation point for major clients, disputes, or technical issues.
    • Ensure transparent communication, solution-oriented engagement, and strong customer satisfaction scores.

.

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

    • Build and lead a multidisciplinary team (solar O&M, MV/HV specialists, commercial, data analytics, technicians, and emergency response).
    • Mentor and groom future leaders; instill a performance-driven, accountable, and safety-first culture.
    • Drive digitalisation—remote monitoring, analytics, automation, predictive maintenance.

.

6. Risk, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

    • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, electrical, safety, TNB, and industry standards.
    • Conduct root cause analyses for faults, implement improvement plans, and reduce downtime incidents.
    • Drive continuous improvement through technology, data insights, and process optimisation.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years’ experience in O&M, asset management, power systems operations, facilities management, or related fields.
  • Experience in MV/HV electrical systems, substations, protection relays, or grid interconnection facilities (preferred advantage).
  • Proven leadership of operational teams, with strong understanding of SLAs, maintenance programs, and technical compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage P&L, develop business strategies, and drive new revenue streams.
  • Entrepreneurial and business-builder mindset—able to shape new business models, scale operations, and create market differentiation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in solar O&M, energy infrastructure services, or utility operations is an added benefit.
