The General Manager (GM) will oversee the operations and strategic direction of a glass processing company, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and customer satisfaction. The GM will manage all aspects of the business, including operations, team leadership, financial performance, and business growth, while driving innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's strategic plan, aligning operations with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for market growth and diversification of services.

2. Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee all glass processing activities, ensuring efficient workflows, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.

3. Quality and Compliance:

  • Maintain high standards of quality for all products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Implement safety protocols and environmental practices to ensure compliance with regulations.

4. Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets, monitor operational costs and profitability.
  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.

5. Team Management:

  • Lead, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of production, maintenance, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide growth opportunities for staff.

6. Customer and Market Focus:

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met with high-quality products and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote the company's services and capabilities.

7. Innovation and Sustainability:

  • Identify and implement innovative technologies and processes to enhance productivity and product offerings.

Requirements

1. Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of glass processing techniques, technologies, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale manufacturing operations and multidisciplinary teams.

2. Skills and Competencies

  • Strong English language skills, other languages are welcomed.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and modern manufacturing technologies.
