The General Ledger Supervisor at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for overseeing the general ledger activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves managing a team of accountants, performing complex accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the general ledger accounting team, providing training, support, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the general ledger.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies related to general ledger activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support finance leadership with special projects and reporting as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
