Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an Free-Standing ED for a top Healthcare client.
This dynamic role requires a quick-thinking, decisive, and versatile professional to provide nursing care for cases ranging from minor injuries to critically ill patients. The FSED RN manages multiple simultaneous cases, utilizes strong clinical skills to treat patients of all ages, and works within a collaborative, safety-aware team environment that demands adaptability to continually changing situations.
Job Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, and treat a diverse patient population of all ages presenting in the Free-Standing Emergency Department.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, continually prioritizing patient needs while providing comprehensive general nursing care.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and develop individualized plans that prescribe effective strategies and alternatives for goal attainment.
- Coordinate patient care functions efficiently with physicians and other departments of the hospital, maintaining a patient-focused and safety-aware approach at all times.
- Provide clear follow-up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals upon discharge from the ED.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their safety and well-being as a continuous priority within the interdisciplinary team.
- Document all assessments, treatments, and coordination efforts accurately and promptly in the patient's medical record.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma is required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by degree/diploma).
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of Recent Acute Care ER RN experience is REQUIRED.
Certifications/Licenses
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate, or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained prior to employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or ACLS Instructor) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or PALS Instructor) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
