1.Responsible for sourcing, screening, selecting, and managing of assortment to achieve sales and margin targets.

2.Conducts market analysis to identify specific market niches of his/her department.

3.Coach and consult potential Assistant Merchandise Managers (Assistant Buyers) by developing their skills, organizational commitment, and involvement

4.Conducts stores visit and build a constructive relationship with operation Sore General Manager and Staff

5.Provide article and supplier data to Assistant Merchandise Managers (Assistant Buyers) for encoding in the computerized system

6.Maintains competitive promotional as well as regular prices

7.Ensures that product quality meets Company and government-legislated standards and customers’ expectations.

8.Provides all necessary information and documents (i.e. article, supplier, ordering, promotions) to the stores.

9.Makes regular store visits to detect operational problems and follows-up on article quality and presentation

10.Conducts oneself as an ambassador of the company at all the times

11.Gives all the necessary information to, and supervises over the Assistant Merchandise Managers (Assistant Buyers), if there is one, to enable his/her to execute their duties

12.Develops new products based on the market needs, sales, and margin contribution.

13.Plans for and conducts regular Business Review with suppliers and negotiate the best deals for the company.

14.Meet regularly suppliers with a pre-defined agenda and a written summary of the session for an open and easy follow up of the situation by a supervisor or an eventual newcomer

15.Commits and follows up all agreements made between him/her and the suppliers (i.e. invoice control arrangements, price differences), all of which are subject to a written contract or confirmation

Requirements

1.Bachelor's Degree required or related work experience.

2.5 years minimum with experience in the food and non-food product development and purchasing, preferably with brand management skills

3.Strong background in merchandising and supplier relationships.

4.Decisive, Innovative, Forward-Thinking, Achieving the Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

5.Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

6.Must have strong analytical skills
