We are seeking an Estimator with strong experience in electrical contracting and construction. The ideal candidate will develop accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, residential, and industrial projects while helping guide project planning and ensuring profitability.
Key Responsibilities
• Review project specifications, blueprints, and scopes to develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit competitive bids while accounting for risk, contingencies, and profit margins
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes and negotiate pricing and terms for maximum value
• Monitor historical project costs and market trends to validate and benchmark estimates
• Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets
• Identify potential risks, scope gaps, and cost drivers and recommend solutions
Requirements
• Experience in estimating for electrical contracting, construction, or related industries
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and construction documents
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of industry standards, electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality practices
• Experience estimating commercial, residential, and industrial projects
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, ConEst, similar)
• Familiar with NEC codes and construction standards
