Position
- Provide clear strategic and operational leadership to a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
- Balance political ambition with executional reality, turning government priorities into feasible, high-impact projects.
- Strengthen ties with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, international financial institutions, embassies, and Dutch private partners.
- Lead origination and structuring of concessional finance and public-private partnerships in emerging markets.
- Ensure effective portfolio and risk management, aligned with ESG and governance standards.
- Act as a visible ambassador for Invest International in international development and infrastructure finance.
Requirements
- At least fifteen years of relevant experience in infrastructure development and financing in emerging markets.
- Strong track record (10+ years) in managing complex, impact-driven programmes, preferably in concessional or blended finance settings.
- Proven ability to lead, grow, and develop teams in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of fostering collaboration, trust, and ownership.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure markets and public-private partnerships.
- Experience engaging with governments, DFIs, MDBs, and private-sector partners at senior level.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify, structure, and close strategic opportunities.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal); Dutch is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly to developing and emerging economies.
