The Role: Customer Experience Chat Agent (5)

As a Customer Experience Chat Agent (5), you will join a distributed team of professionals who handle customer support tasks for our growing client base. This role was specifically designed to be accessible—we know that many talented people are locked out of traditional employment due to location, childcare, or other life circumstances. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Handle multiple simultaneous chat conversations without sacrificing quality.
  • Meet or exceed daily resolution and response-time targets set by the client.
  • Complete end-of-shift reports documenting key metrics and unresolved issues.
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently by following established guidelines and escalation protocols.
  • Log all customer interactions accurately in the client's CRM system.
  • Identify and flag recurring issues to the team lead for process improvement.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries via live chat software in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain a strong customer satisfaction score by delivering accurate, empathetic responses.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with the ability to maintain focus and productivity in a home environment.
  • Access to a reliable computer (PC or Mac) and a stable, high-speed internet connection.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Available to commit to a minimum of 15–20 hours per week during scheduled shifts.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple browser tabs and software applications simultaneously.
  • No prior experience required — comprehensive paid training provided upon hire.
