- Assist in food preparation (E.g., julienne cutting, chopping, slicing, washing, portioning and marinating, etc.)
- Prepare dishes according to the recipes and SOPs
- Plate and present dishes with exquisite precision
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure food consistency and quality
- Ensure all the kitchen equipment is in good working condition and report any faults or damage according to SOPs
- Ensure that strict hygiene and cleanliness standards are constantly and consistently upheld and adhered to in the restaurant, as well as excellent upkeep of personal grooming
- Responsible for the compliance of all health, safety, and food hygiene legislation
- Any other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
- Basic knowledge in Asian cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
- Attention to detail with time management skills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
