Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire a Buyer to join our Procurement team in Pedino, Kilkis or Athens.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Conducts market research, evaluates vendors/suppliers along with their offers and promotions to achieve best deals, servicing company’s best interest
  • Fosters relationships and negotiates with vendors/suppliers to achieve targets based on required quantities and to expand vendor/supplier base
  • Monitors inventory requests and production schedule in order to coordinate procurement activities with company’s current and anticipated demand of resources/services
  • Ensures all selected vendors/suppliers are compliant to service level agreements by resolving discrepancies if they arise, monitoring and updating payment forecast and delivery schedule
  • Monitors purchase orders and the respective contracts in order to identify and deal with possible claims successfully and on a timely manner
  • Creates reports for the management team in order to highlight important information for the procurement’s procedure
  • Conducts administrative activities including preparation of contracts and data files maintenance in corresponding vendors’/suppliers’ folders in the ERP system

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of working experience in industrial procurement, purchasing, supply chain or any other relevant field. Working experience in indirect procurement will be considered as an asset
  • BSc in Business / Engineering / Science; MBA would be considered as an asset
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & oral). Other languages knowledge, will be considered as an asset
  • Multi-Tasking, willing to take initiatives and quick decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications with an emphasis on Excel
  • Working knowledge of ERP/SAP will be considered as an asset
  • Attention to detail, highly organized and problem resolving mentality
