We are looking for a reliable and organized Accounting Executive to perform essential accounting tasks. This entry-level role is perfect for someone detail-oriented who wants to build a career in accounting. The primary responsibilities include processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing support to the accounting team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
Daily Transaction Processing:
- Process accounts payable invoices, verify details, and prepare payments.
- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including generating invoices, applying customer payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Perform data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system with accuracy.
- Process employee expense reports and verify receipts for compliance.
Record Maintenance & Reconciliation:
- Maintain and file financial documents, both digitally and physically (invoices, receipts, payments).
- Assist with bank reconciliations and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Update and maintain vendor and customer records in the system.
- Support month-end closing by preparing assigned journal entries and schedules.
- Support any other ad-hoc assignments as required
Requirements
- Degree or above in accounting
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in the education industry is preferred.
- Ability to manage tasks across multiple entities is essential; prior experience in a multi-entity environment is a significant advantage.
- Able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation.
- Good personality, able to communicate proficiently and effectively with all levels.
- Able to accept and adapt to change and possesses a positive team spirit.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel for basic data entry and sorting).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is a significant advantage.
- Accurate and efficient data entry/keyboarding skills.
- Immediate available will be an advantage
