Core Responsibilities
Your primary task is handling incoming live chat messages during your available hours. This includes answering common questions, sharing approved links or instructions, and confirming requested information.
All responses follow established guidelines. If a customer issue falls outside your responsibilities, you will follow a simple escalation process to route the conversation to the appropriate team. You are not expected to resolve complex problems unless additional training is provided.
Depending on the platform, you may manage more than one chat at a time. Clear limits are in place to maintain quality and consistency.
Daily Work Structure
Each work session begins by logging into the assigned chat platform. Incoming messages appear in real time as customers request assistance. Between chats, you may review updates such as new FAQs, instructions, or notices to keep your responses accurate.
Because this is a remote role, you can work from home or any location with a reliable internet connection. Many assistants value the quiet, focused nature of text-only communication.
Work Continuity
There is no fixed end date for this position. Chat support is required year-round, and many assistants continue working long term due to steady demand and flexible scheduling.
Pay and Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $25 to $35 depending on assignment type, chat volume, and level of responsibility. Entry-level assignments typically start at the base rate, with opportunities to earn more as experience and reliability increase.

Requirements
No college degree, certifications, or prior customer service experience are required. You must have access to a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer capable of running web-based chat platforms.
You should be comfortable reading instructions carefully, typing clear responses, and working independently. A minimum availability of five hours per week is required, along with dependable internet access.
Scheduling Flexibility
You may work part-time or close to full-time hours depending on availability and chat demand. There are no mandatory shifts unless specified for a specific assignment. Many assistants choose evenings, weekends, or short work sessions throughout the day.
Location
This is a fully remote online position. While applicants based in the United States are often preferred for language and time-zone alignment, work can be completed from any location with stable internet access.
