Job Summary:

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team! The annual salary for this role will be withing the range of $60,000 and $70,000. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Local Bounti's customers by managing orders, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment, resolving issues quickly, and building strong relationships with buyers, distributors, and retail partners. This role acts as a key liaison between sales, production, logistics, and customers to ensure a seamless experience from order to delivery.

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order status updates, and service-related questions.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and support requests with professionalism and urgency.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with retail and distribution partners.
  • Enter and process customer orders accurately and on-time.
  • Monitor order flow, proactively follow up on delays or discrepancies, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate closely with production, fulfillment, transportation teams to confirm product availability and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer profiles, order history, and communication logs.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, shortages, quality concerns, or billing.
  • Partner cross-functionally to troubleshoot root causes and prevent repeat problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to sales or operations leadership as needed.
  • Support the sales team with order forecasts, customer updates and account-related tasks.
  • Provide recurring or ad-hoc reporting on orders, customer activity, and trends.
  • Identify process improvements that enhance customer satisfaction or operational efficiency.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Two plus years in customer service, order operations, sales support, or related roles.
  • Strong communication skills - clear professional and customer focused.
  • High attention to detail with excellent accuracy in data entry and order handling.
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new systems and CRM/ERP tools.
  • Must be willing to work every third Saturday on a rotating basis.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in food, CPG, agriculture, distribution, or logistics.
  • Prior experience supporting retail or wholesale customers.
  • Familiarity with order management systems or supply-chain workflows.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate Degree in Business, Communications, Supply Chain or related field preferred
